The “Global Framework” under the Danish Climate Envelope 2012 funds the project “Low Carbon Transition in the Energy Efficiency sector in Vietnam” to support Vietnam’s National Target Programme on Energy Efficiency and Conservation. One component of the project is support to Vietnam’s Ministry of Construction (MOC) in implementation of energy efficiency requirements for new construction which are going to be laid down in a new Energy Efficiency Building Code (EEBC). The final version of the EEBC is expected to be issued in early September 2013.
Support to the MOC is to be delivered in two modalities: Targeted Programme Budget Support and direct Technical Assistance (TA). One team of consultants will be responsible for providing most of the component’s direct TA.
